The main character is Named Rush Sykes who is in search of his sister named Irina.
She's been kidnapped by a mysterious group and your search entwines you with coming in contact with the world's remnants.

When I played it it had quick time events using the xbox controller's images, I was put of... twice

yes it does
UNLESS
you switch it.
And no it's not a modding thing and in fact it's not a bad port it turns out.
Its automatically defaulted for use with the 360 controller on PC. But you can, like me, change the binding labels to the keyboard, so my arrow keys are the buttons in quicktime etc.
Plus if you get the game remember to turn on auto save, it's disabled by default i painfully found out.
I never finished first post description and if the 360 buttons put you off nannal try again, the keyboard bindings are in the demo too.
