Now that it has been officialy declared that Vista has been delayed to a early 2007 launch, I am now wondering if it will ever be complete or will Blackcomb (the version of Windows after Vista) be released first?
Lets see, when was the original release date going to be, oh yeah LATE 2004! Here's a suggestion Microsoft, NOT THIS LATE 2004, ITS GONNA BE 3 YEARS LATE YOU STUPID EXCUSE FOR A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER!

Simple answer: No. Long answer: Probably not.
Anyway, do MicroSoft ever do anything right?

No.
//Edit: I only recently realised that you need CAL's (Client Access Licences) to access Win 2000/2003 servers, which are only about ?20 each. When you have 300 office users, that's a rediculous amount of money on top of the Windows Server 2003 license cost! How's that for a stupid idea?

Blackcomb has been renamed to Fiji, after being renamed to Vienna. Apparently Blackcomb will drop all that we know for a completely new interface...
For more info, see this Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackcomb

May the twenty tooth for Beta 2, apparently. Here's an email I received from WinVistaSecrets:
[quote:88950db52e="Aarons Email"]Vista is nearing Beta 2 time. The projected date for Beta 2 is May 22th, just around the corner. At this time Microsoft is looking into abandoning the CTP testing program and moving to a testing program called CPP or Customer Preview Program. This program would be far larger and much cheaper. The CPP is a program where customers that receive nomination codes can apply to be in the Vista Beta Test for free![/quote:88950db52e]
LOL @ May 22th

Well Vista was supposed to be 'the best improvement since 95' but Vienna will take that as by then WinFS will be done (if they dont strip it down so much that they never move from NTFS (1996 release i think))
