If you think you could put the money to more productive stuff to get enjoyment out of, then go ahead!

If not, keep a hold of them for now, you may just use it one day and have some of the best fun you've had in a long time.

Honestly, I always thought you spent a bit too much on them, but make sure you have a moderately decent gaming computer so you can enjoy MP games with your friends

OK, so here is my predicament:

I may need more money as I might be moving out to house share with somebody.

If I sell my graphics card and my power supply, that should be enough for a new case, motherboard, processor, memory, graphics card and power supply. Then to make some money I could sell my current motherboard, memory, processor, and case. I will keep hold of the hard drives and make them in to a mirror configuration in the new system, and I'll keep hold of the optical drive as there is no money to be made there. The monitor will be kept also.

What do you think of this plan?

Provisional spec of new system:

Gigabyte Ultra Durable Micro-ATX Motherboard
AMD Phenom 2.4GHz Quad CPU
4GB Corsair DDR2 800MHz RAM
Radeon 4670 Graphics
Silverstone TJ08 Case

That's a nice spec for gaming, though I would personally go for a 4850, but I'm not sure of the pricepoint recently. The extra money will do you good and the cheap system will still allow you to play with us happily

Yeah, the 4850 is about £130 whereas the 4670 is about £70.

£455 including delivery.

I'll buy the new system first so it makes it easier to do the data transfer, then I'll just sell the old stuff. I lose money at first but I guess I'll make £300ish on the graphics, £100ish on the PSU, £200ish on the motherboard, £100ish on the RAM, £100ish on the case, £150ish on the processor.

Those estimates look a bit high to me, but then again, you know more than me.

he's considering it not doing it met wellnto yet if he does.

We all know it will change >9000 times before finalisation
