This data is taken from: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/windowsvista/evaluate/hardware/entpguid.mspx#ECAA but i am going to paraphrase it, ok
For a machine to be 'Vista Ready' it needs to have: - RAM -- 512MB or more RAM - Processor -- Intel - Pentium? 4 Processor 600 sequence with HT Technology and Intel? Extended Memory 64 Technology (But you probabily arent intrested in this) -- AMD - Any 64-bit processor - Graphics Card -- nVIDIA - 5200 or above -- ATI - Any of their DX9 graphics cards
On another point, has anyone else noticed except me that a more powerful ATI card is needed to run Vista than an nVIDIA one?

Ham I like the destail they had to give on the intel processors. Also, I think the 5200 is a DX9 gfx card, so its the same for ATI and nVidia.

Odd you put that in a bad way, since Microshaft are recommending that people use ATI cards with their operating system due to 'superior driver support'.

Nah, that's cos nVidia are probably focussing on making far superior drivers for current OSes. Anyway, lets not turn this into one of our frequent nVidia vs ATi arguments, especially as Aaron did say he would stop...

Yeah, sure, OK!
Oh, BTW, your sig "Destroying the T'Internet" should be "Destroying T'Internet" as the "T"' is an abbreviation of "the"
