I need a new motherboard and CPU quite urgently and I dont know what the hell to choose either a good asus motherboard with a 939 3200+ or wait for the new M2 cpus? but anyone any idea how much the M2 cpus are gonna cost? please help :shock:

I really don't know about he M2s, but they will cost around the same price as the current chips (same market etc). However, you will be waiting a long time for it (I think) and 939 still has quite a bit of life in it.

im sorted now :) I bought an Asrock 939 motherboard, its so weird its got an AGP slot (for my 6800) Pci Express slot for when I upgrade, and a future slot so its compatible with M2 processors 8)

Ooh, cool. Sort of a "mega board". LOL. What's the M2 slot look like? I thought it hadn't been released yet!

well ill take a pic of the mobo to show u :D but its got beside the pci express slot a yellow slot and it says "WARNING this future cpu port is only for installation of our addon cpu board".. and it also mentions in th manual this is for future cpus ie M2 so basically its a skt 939 940 (m2) board :lol: pretty neat huh 8) plus I can wait till that beast of an X1800 comes down in price then I can replace it with my agp 6800 :lol:

Oh, it's that board! I remember that! I think you can get intel ad in boards aswell (pah).
Anyway, sure you don't want a 7800(GTX 512), it comprehensively trashes anything ATI have to offer!
