Ok, stupid question to those who know practically everything there is to know on PCs (or as I like to call them... patients) and their tiny organs (to you they are known as parts, but to Doctors such as me, I refer to them as organs ;)). By the description above, I am of course referring to Azcn, Si and Skillers mainly. However, if anyone else knows as well, your input will be noted and appreciated :)
Geforce or Radeon?
Both are in the market, both seem good. But here's the question: which one is the best? And by that, I mean which maker and model? Price etc doesn't apply here gentlemen, which is the best?
The first person to reply (I predict Azcn) will receive much healings and ubercharges (of their choice) on TF2 when I am able to actually heal them (ie get a new computer as you all move too fast for me to lock onto you and heal you, even if you are a Heavy).
Danke,
Dr Hawke

Overall, the 4870X2 canes all cards in pretty much everything.

As or value for money and performance, everything in the HD4 series from ATI is the best.

BTW, it's better to call them nVidia and ATI cards as the GeForce and Radeon brands are pretty much denunct now, no-one uses them (I think ATI still calls its cards Radeons, but you won't get all the cards if you search a shop site for that).

The best on the market available right now at a very high price is the 4870X2 from ATI.

Second best is the GTX280 from Nvidia.

Third is the 4870 from ATI.

Fourth is the GTX260 Core 216 from Nvidia.

The rest don't matter 8)

The 4870X2 scores higher. What's your point ;)

But it is slightly better and that's all that matters, if you exclude the price.

This particular problem is not in the hardware, but in the drivers.

There's also no mention of how well it performs with 2x 4870X2's. One 4870X2 means nothing to me...

... It probably performs worse. But I'll be sure to take some screenshots tonight showing my FPS.

i would go for either GTX280 from Nvidia or 4870 x2 from Radeon

since the radeon card have 2 gb it cant run for full like the card from Nvidia.
back to your question.. its no debt radeon is better=)
im not sure about difference in price, but last i read about it the card from radeon was cheaper!

I want to know when the next cards are coming out and if nVidia will take the crown back. Not ging to get a new card, it will just be interesting to see.

The 4870 is to have a small price drop soon of about $20 which equates to about £1.

But think about how much it will actually come down in the UK. It probably won't happen in the UK.
