xD

Its just more fun to play, you spend more time playing than being dead (Which in my case, espesh on CSS was a very big bug bear :/ I died very quickely most of the time and spent a lot of time dead). With TF2 I come back to life and can own more in a single game.

With the different clases too, you get almost a different game everytime you play. I've just been doing well as a Demoman blowing up shiz :D Few stickies then some 'nades and then BOOM, Sentry down :P

That deffinately IS a bonus to TF2 over CSS- you don't need to wait for the round to end which can take forever... you can come back to life and join your team in the greatest sport known to man... noob roasting/killing/blowing up/decapitating/mowing down :)
TF2 is also more inventive and has more game modes than CSS. CSS sticks with bombing or hostages whereas TF2 has Point capturing/defending, CTI (capture the intelligence), Point Conquest and Payload (the one with the train that you have to push). More variety wihich adds to the funness of the game.
The fact that there are different classes allows you to utilise special features eg faster but weak, stronger but slow etc... and the characters are all unique and as funny as hell!!!
Overall MUCH better than CSS :) TF2 FTW!!!

CSS is more skill based thats why....

TF2 was always designed to be a much more light hearted multiplayer game that emphasized even more on team play than CSS. It's almost critical for a team to consist of a decent vareity of classes.... Though, Scout rushes and Pyro surges have worked very well on the 360... :P

Even with 3 classes (Demo, Pyro and Sniper) you can get serious cover and work extremely well as a balanced team. This works very well on some of the limited 8 man games on the 360... having those 3 classes almost gurantees a unbreakable defence... With a medic as a 4th character, youre almost unstoppable on offence too....

Scout rushes are rather risky- if you come across a Heavy or Pyro in a corridor, you will all go down unless you can get a quick lucky crit on them with the scattergun or run away out of their range before they start firing. The Scout only lasts half a second when facing a Heavy or Pyro in a corridor (one and a half for Heavy- he needs to rev his gun up but some have their gun already reved up) due to his low health.
Pyro surges are much more effective- Pyro's have more health and can burn anyting down in their path, including sentries, but once again a Heavy that knows what he is doing can mow you all down in a few seconds before you can get up close to do some real damage to him.
All in my opinion, I may be wrong...

Scout rishes only seem to work on wide open maps.... Granary to middle and last points, but its the 4th point u need to be careful of when using this method... tho the scout can take out a sentry much more effectively thn the pyro can, as he can shoot from a range, whereas the Pyro SUCKS at distance xD

That's why you get close to the sentry and strafe it. Level one sentries (at start of game) are easy.

Pyro's get as close as possible then strafe it whilst burning it. Unless it is level 3, the Pyro will kill it without dying. Pyro's are more effective as they have more health so they can withstand the Sentry's fire longer than a Scout can and Pyro's are more likely to scare the Engie away who will probably shoot at the Scout with his shotgun or repair his sentry, and run once his machines are low on health and he is on fire.

I find you can circle strafe any sentry. They key is to keep slightly back and keep burning, you can do it without taking any damge, like you can with heavies. Level ones are easier because you can push against their fire, but you can't with level 2s, they just have too much knockback. Also, if the sentry is out of line of site (on a platform above you, for instance, it's easy to kill.

Will be even easier if they sort out the flames problem- then you will be able to see exactly where your flames are...
Heavies- just circles strafe them and jump all over the place whilst blinding them with your flamer, chances are you may take a bit of damage but he will be dead pretty quickly.
Sentries- same tactic but just don't jump!!! Knockback will send you too far away and then it'll outpower your shotgun with ease. If there are multiple sentries covering each other, wait for a Spy to sap them then rush in and burn everything in site or wait for a Medic (:)) to come and ubercharge you. If it is just around the corner, stay out of site and try to get the angle right so you can burn it whilst staying out of firing range.

Pretty much exactly what I do. xP

You have a big problem if they place two sentries next to each other, even with an uber. If they place them apart, it shouldn't be too hard, but is situational.

Medic's can always run in first to distract the sentries and try to draw their fire, then the Pyro rushes in whilst the sentries have their attention on the Medic and burns them both to a pile of molten metal... The only thing that could go wrong is the Medic is knocked back so far that the ubercharge is taken off the Pyro and the Pyro is killed before he can fully finish the sentries off...

You can jump on sentries too...

Its amazing how much vertical height TF2 has for what is an FPS game. Nicholai and I have got the hang of jumping down onto people with the soldier, and hes getting the hang of "juggling" with the Demo (seeing as its easy with the soldier)... Shame I'm crap as spy tho!

Seriously, i really suck at it xD

Sentries can look up (nearly vertically), so if you jump on them, they will turn upwards and blow you away, especially if you're a light class like the pyro.

TF2 is pretty good for having vertical play. However, to me, it feels pretty natural, though quite a few games are very 2D by their mostly outside nature. Vertical height is dictated by the mapmakers, not the game itself, though TF2 does help by having superjump type moves.

Generally, jumping on top of a sentry is like prodding a King Cobra; you're gonna get killed unless you have serious help near by... the sentry will shoot you dead or so high you will die when you land...

On a semi related note, on dustbowl, stage 2, cap 2. If the defending team is doing what they normally do, and build a lot of turrets in that recessed area near the cp, as an attacking pyro (or other light class) come around through the wooden hut and jump off towards the cp. If done right you will end up outside the map (but dead). xP

This shows what you can do on Dustbowl if you are an Engineer with a Medic with you and are attacking... it is quite a good tactic and it probably works if your enemies are a bunch of morons ;)

Yeh well... still a good tactic, you just need a good team who are fast and can distract the enemy whilst you sneak past them all and place the sentry, not to mention a Medic who is willing to help (I am! Ask me if you need to!)
