Netgear WAG311 802.11a/b/g 108Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter - http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=12213251082&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=52756
or the
Netgear WG311T 108mbps 802.11g Wireless PCI Card - http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=12213251082&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=59397
Thanks for any advice
Con

I have the second one, which works great. The first one looks like an updated version with an external arial, which is better, though you can buy good ones for about ?10 from Maplins.
Just a note - they will only work at 108Mbps with other Netgear products, they will work at 54Mbps with other brand products (this is because the is standard "g" specification is 54, and different companies use different speed boost technologies). I do not reccommend Netgear routers - they have lots of problems with the wi-fi controller overheating.

Right, if it's just ad-hoc, two of either of those cards (depending on preference) will be fine.

The Netgear MIMO wireless router is excellent! We use a lot of Netgear hubs/switches at work, and have *never* had problems with them.

I think the Netgear Router that I had that wnet wrong was revision 2 of a version you may not be able to get any more.

Im now thinking of changing my mind to the Netgear WPN311 RangeMax Wireless PCI Adapter http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=13018863488&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X3Jldmlld3M=&product_uid=88490
It seems better but i have found out that it can take up to 2 weeks to set up sucessfully, but hopefully Netgear will release new drivers soon
What do people think about my new decision

Hmm, wierd, the drivers for my Netgear card (0W311T) were excellent. Though if people are having problems with it, don't get it, my Netgear router was dodgy, and it turned out they all had faulty wireless.
