Heh, I just found out that the x86 architecture is 30 years old this year. That means that nearly ever modern processor is based on the 10MHz, 40pin, 16bit, heatsinkless Intel 8086. I just find that amazing personally.

iv seen quite a few newer sysems stand up well with shoking cpus but awsome everything else tht wrked as well as 1 tht just had an awsome cpu but medioka everything else lol

nVidia are trying to make the GPU the be all and all of computers, but it's not happening yet. Anyway, a CPU is more versatile, and always needed, a graphics card (as in a proper processor, not just a display adapter) isn't always needed.
