Well, to be exact, we broke their word filter. You know which one? The one that wants to filter out youtube and stuff...

Right, well to explain how it works... say I'm writing a message to myself with filtered content. I hit send and then the server says no and it just disappears from view as if I never had written the message.

Now this is where the broken area comes in... if I then sign out of one account and then sent the message as an "OIM", the message appears as sent. If I then proceed to login to the account that the message is sent to, it tells me that I have an OIM (it's set to appear on the toolbar next to mail, sharing folders, etc.) Clicking on the button to show OIMs will just make the button disappear, tell me the message it always does with OIMs, and no message. 5 minutes later, the OIM icon comes back...

This seems to be quite a bug on Microsoft's part, as not even the standard thing of signing into a version of Messenger that doesn't support OIMs (I used Windows Messenger 4.7), I still get it when signing back into 8.5.

So... what the hell are they on?

Not youtube ones, I just know how to form one that does get filtered and got him to send it.

I've heard rumours about this a few months ago... so they're actually doing it now? Poor.

A few of my friends on MSN and I had problesm a few weeks ago now, we couldnt send youtube links via MSN... I reckon they were testing at that time just to see what the usage would be like.

Si says they werent, but how much do we really know about MS' activites... Itll be bad news imo if they do do it... What about YT links in your PM? Are they going to be able to stop that?

I don't get why they are stopping it though, seems stupid in the first place, lol.
