I just played the demo and it's awesome! I didn't even notice the lack of a health bar.

I found it a much more tactical game than others, as I was using the grenades a lot. This is probably due to the fact you can throw them without switching weapons, which is great, as it allows you to fire one off quickly.

The mission had a good amount of movement, with excellent confrontation areas, with plenty of obstacles, making the accurate rifle an essential, aswell as the long range you could get off grenades. The grenade indicator was also useful, as the AI throw grenades, and you know when to run. When in the houses, grenades again showed their power, as did the Tompson SMG.

Oh, and it looked great!

It's a good engine and runs very well on most mid/high end cards. I was surprised to see how well at run on my machine after seeing the screenshots thinking -- surely that must need some sort of next-gen card?

Yeah, it run fine on my 6800GT, and probably would on the high/mid range previous gen cards. Just like how HL2 ran fine on my GeForce 3 and still looked great.

The only problem with it is the Veteran level "you will not survive" is fairly easy.

Oh, and I started to use smokes on regular (I played from easy to veteran). Very useful if for some reason you can't kill the guy on the machine gun (the one who blasts the door) with grenades, you just smoke him, crawl under his fire, and put a couple of rounds into the vauge shadow you can see.

I just throw in a grenade :)

I do, but I often end up throwing in 3 without killing him! And then I run out of grenades, so I shoot him with the cover of a smoke.
