You could just go for 2GB, or have the 0.8GB unusable with a 32bit OS.

The problem (I'm guessing) is that a system like that would be for gaming, which isn't as easy on Linux (emulators and such).

I guess i should have tried Linux by now. Could have had dual OS once before, but chose not to. Gaming and music being the biggest parts of my usage.

Sure, I could understand why you would want to stick with Windows for gaming. Nothing can beat DirectX 10 at the moment.

Wish that was true. I was a bit of a chicken really. I am bad with syntax, so i figured that sticking with 9x, was best at the time.
Why would my NB Fan, only spinup when XP is booting? I have checked the connector and for dust in the housing, but can't see anything that could cause a short out.
Temps seem fine, no vdroop on the bios/CoreTemp as yet, but perhaps i should be concerned. What temperature readings do you guys have for your mobo's? Just curious.
