Sega announced recently that a new sonic games was in production; codename : SONIC UNLEASHED. and today pics have been leaked onto the world wide web

is that a werewolf sonic????

the games looks to switch from Sonic and the secret rings view of gameplay to 2.5 D like that similar to brawl
a the plot is still unknown but it seems at various points he will change into his werewolf form, at which point a gameplay gimmick will come into play - something that looks like it isn't exactly in keeping with trying to make a Sonic game... well... let us say, 'good'.

The blue hog won't be alone on his adventure either, as another new character that will probably be dispensed of in ten minutes will make a no-doubt unwelcome and unnecessary appearance. Just who or what this character will be is unknown as of yet.

Hmm, looks interesting. Glad to see good old sonic style is back, with 2D platform controls, though it looked like it might have gone into 3D at one point in that vid, I'm not sure.

If that vid is a gameplay vid I'm actually quite worried. Crazy jumping camera angles break games horribly.

yeah i know what u mean the camera seems too fixed on sonic trying to imitate his every move but there is still time tyo fix it

sonic games have always struggled with the camera.

hopefully this will be a better release, "Sonic The Hedgehog" was a disaster game.

Never played Sonic the hedgehog (seeing as i dont own the consoles it was on) i thought it looked awesome, tho looks obv arent important cus everyone i know who played it said it was rubbish. I never played Sonic and the secret rings either though the reviews said it was good (not fantstic) and at least the wii got a playable sonic game Sonic Heros was crap ddint like the switching element. But i loved Sonic Adventure 2 battle on GC it had awesome story, awesome controls and fun multiplayer. Do you think this game could have multipalyer races like the PSP game Sonic rivals as it seems to be laid out like that looking at screenshots.

Well, with the camera thing I actually meant that the camera should stick to the side on look more, rather than randomly deciding to follow him and stuff. However, now you say it, it did seem a bit tight to Sonic's movements and could be loosened a bit, to create a more flowing game.

Multiplayer racing mode would be awesome.

sonic games do tend to have a gd multiplayer mode.

i have sonic adventure 2 battle, and since then sonic hasnt even got close to having such a gd game, altho Mario and Sonic Olympic games is gd.

Sonic Adventure on dreamcast is my all time fav. game with Sonic, so good i might buy a classic controller and Sonic DX for Gamecube!!!!

I agree, didnt like Sonic Heroes at all.

Robin has/had Sonic ADventure DX he said it was the best 3-d sonic hed played. I went round his house ages ago and he was palying it i lol'd at the mouth movements they gave sonic teeth XD

lol yeah, DX is the copied version of the original sonic adventure from dreamcast and put onto the gamecube. i would play it on my Dreamcast bt it doesnt work (the game not the console) so im gonna have to get DX.

sonic shuffle was a really gd game 2, oh hours of fun from my childhood!

the first sonic game i ever palyed was actaully sonic adventure 2 battle i was a bit late when it came to his games. I only bought it cus the old cartoon was soooo frikken sweet!! Tho i have palyed his olders ones since then and i have to say the 2-d are brilliant, tho hard never managed to get any chaos emeralds

yeh i had a mega drive so i grew up with Sonic, Sonic, Sonic 2, 3 and then of course Sonic and Knuckles on top of other games such as Sonic Spinball.

such gd games on 2d, great fun (also gd on the gameboy advance with 2d titles, e.g. sonic advance)

i got all the chaos emiralds on all the games, get 50 rings u can be Super Sonic.

and of course on Sonic 3, after level 7 there were additional chaos emerals and if u got all of those, u unlocked hyper sonic...i think thts his name.

basically, im a huge sonic fan lol.

lol Same! only had advance ones and rush for DS which was awesome it hada boost button.

i am being honest when i say i hate it when they come up with new characters - i feel its almost as if Sega try to keep customers by thinking of new characters rather than on the game itself. I know you havent played sonic the hedgehog bt its truly terrible, with more new characters and i dont like it! concentrate on making good games!!!!

I have played Sonic jsut didnt grow up with the games.
I preferred it when it was just, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy and Eggman

i jst loved them so much, with sonic, tales, dr.robotnik and scratch and grounded (members of the SSSS squad that were robots trying to catch sonic for robotnik). omg gd old times.

i dnt mind a few more characters, bt the number they bring out is ridiculous. i like the additional characters up to about SA2:B - as Shadow is a gd character and the additional characters offered more depth to the multiplayer.

LOL i LOVED TEH ONE CARTOON scratch and grounder were great! lol went over to robs house like 3 years back and we watched them we were in tears cus they looked so funny and robotnik expression over well anything was great XD

for the multiformat new info has been uncovered and the video i posted was taken from the 360 version of the game it is also confirmed to appear on the wii as said so by ONM nothing has been said about the PS3

oh thts gd then - cos i have 360 as well - its always gd to have the option of what format u can get the game on as different versions always seem to have different standards.

LOL for some games i wish i had a 360. cus id rahter get this on 360 cus he graphics look better. Cus the story and gameplay is basically going to be identical shame lol.
