Now, lets start the arguments (again).
What do you like the most, computers or consoles and why.
I think that computers are the better of the two as they are capable of much better graphics, even though i have spent a bit too much time playing on my PS2 lately.
So, whats better?

Consoles are good because they are cheap. However, the games are too expensive and they are underpowered, plus they will only do games (though modern consoles are changing that).
Computers are much better - they are faster, can do lots and have better games (Half Life [2]). I did have a lot more arguments, but i forgot them.

i wud say both, but thats not a poll option, but then again computers are a little bit better. You can do so much more, more than just games. And the internet is better on computers

I need someone to start arguing the case of consoles so I can undermine all of their arguments!
Anyway, all the points that have been said so far I agree with!

Consoles are better because they dont have annoying Paperclips and other stuff to distract you from your game! Its just you, the controller and a really good game!

Another advantage of PCs - emulators - you can play all disk games on the PC with the right software (which is legal). You can also buy USB convertors so you can use the superior console gamepads.

You can buy Mice and Keyboards for PS2 and XBOX! And games are usually easier with the game conroller than a joystick or a keyboard control!

yes, the keyboard offers a far greater array of commands at your fingertips, if you play lots of complecated FPSes you would see what I mean (this is not saying you don't, I'm jut using it as an example).
As for mice, these are even more important, they are much more accurate than joysticks, and are therefore essential for proper shooters (no autoaim). A great example of this is GTA:SA, which has been ported from console to PC. The mouse aim has made some of the missions that were impossible for my friends who own the console version incredibly easy for me with the mouse. I also tend to use the more deadly scondary firing mode (corsairs) where my friends on the console use the autoaim unless forced to use proper aim on some of the bigger weapons.
GR.

Keyboard and Mouse rock! PC's are far more powerful, versatile and upgradeable, although expensive if you want a decent one; I've spent over ?2k on my machine.

Oooh, wow, force feedback! Maybe you don't want it when you're trying to put a bullet in some combine's head from 500m! ForceFeedback isn't suited to the games of the keyboard - First Person Shooters. It is however, suited to steering wheels and joysticks, which have plenty of force feedback available.
And one thing to undermine the "consoles have better controllers" (which they don't) argument - even if they do, you can get adaptors for the PC, making the PC more superior, as the consoles have nothing they don't!

But can you pay ?79.99 on a console and get the functionality you expect from a PC?
Can you overclock a console? (I think some guys managed to overclock an X360 with water, but normally you can't)

StarBucks, look here! LOL! I'm afraid PC companies don't use hardware old enough to compare to most consoles. Any onboard graphics chip can thrash a console graphics chip about 10 times over.
Aaron, you make very true point. Consoles are nowhere near as useful as PCs, and therefore you would expect to pay for for a PC as it does more.
Aaron/Agent Chaos, I saw that, but it was just an XBox.

Any valid reasons? Nope, oh well, you loose! Plus, insulting the admin gets you nowhere.

No[pe, just one and an internet connection ;). However, I ould like to know what game can have 300 players, the most I know is 64? If you're referring to LAN parties, they are huge organised tornements.
