Actually, I have had a rethink on the whole "Brothers" thing. I think its more like "Band Of Brothers" or something like that. And No, we havent been able to directly influence a pokemon before, Chansey came close in Melee... It spewed up eggs that contained items.

Right... Seeing as I haven't been able to update since tuesday.. Ill sort that out now.

Wednesday was 2 updates. A rather indepth look at Options, and some Ice Climber music.



The Main menu screen looks pretty normal. But today we are having a better look at "Options".



This takes us to another screen with some more icons to click on. All of these take you to its repective option page. There is even a warning about not messing around with the "Delete Scores" buttons....

Ice Climber music was pretty typical, head over to the SSBB website to listen to it.

Yesterday was another OK update, the Mario Circuit Stage. We saw this quite a few months ago in a video, but it has only just been "Confirmed".



You fight at the cross over point. And seeing as all the usual racers are brawling, Shyguys take the Karts!



The map in the distance gives you some warning about whether the Karts will come from behind or from the side... You can even knock the Karts out of the race with a well timed shot!

Today was a pretty good update, 2 (!) Assist Trophy revealments! Waluigi and Stafy make their debuts!



Waluigi walks into the Brawl as an assist trophy... A shame for some people who wanted an "Overall" Brawl (Mario, Luigi, Wario, Waluigi). He comes and stomps on you. And stomps again. Then he either kicks you, or wollops you with his mighty Tennis Racket! That item takes its cue from being the first game where Waluigi was playable.



And finally, Stafy makes his appearance in Brawl.



"This character, the prince of the heavenly seas, appeared in the Japan-only release "Densetsu no Stafy." He’s shaped like a star, but maybe he’s really a starfish???"
As some of us know (Or maybe not) Stafy was clamoured to be a playable in Brawl. However, I always thought an AT was a possibility, and here he is.



He does a full body tackle... However, he is rare as AT's go as he can be attacked and knocked off himself! Now, Rare implies there are other AT's that can be attacked, as most at the moment are completly immortal to your attacks.... Stay tuned for next weeks updates!

Ah, the Band of Brothers thing makes sense, but still, Luigi is one of Nintendo's main characters.

Options..... BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

Mario Kart - Pretty simple arena with a nice little twist, I guess. Though it looks like you can't fall off the bottom, either, which should make things quite interesting as it stops people being clumsy.

Waluigi looks pretty strong, causing a lot of damage to characters, probably one of the better ATs?

Stafy - Another powerful one? But with a nice twist. I think it's good to be able to attack some ATs for a bit of variation (never a fan of "unstoppable" attacks, personally, though there are a few in SSB).

Only downside of the Mario Kart stage i can see is people wall shadowing (Unless you can bash people through the track)... It happened on the great temple stage on Melee. Like where a solid roof is above you, so you hide down there so its really hard to get knocked off. Kinda unfair if your on like 200% and keep bouncing off the roof of the level....It is annoying whenpeople just won't die coz of that... Thats the reason the Great temple was never used in tournament matches. One it was too big, and the other people would wall shadow... and hide like biatches XD

Waluigi does look pretty good. Looks like if he doesnt score a direct KO, the person he hits does enough damage for you to come sweeping in and finish them! Starfy looks OK, but I'm pretty sure most people will just try and KO him before he KOs them... XD

Unstoppable attacks are fairly rare... SSBM only had a few... You couldnt stop Snorlax (but hes easy to avoid) and Schizor (THe same really).... But most of the others were easily avoidable!

Hmm, that would kinda suck if you could just hide in the corners.

By unstoppable I just mean ones you can't do anything but avoid, with, but seeing as avoiding in SSB is pretty easy, I don't think it's that bad in this game.

in japan the final code of the game the MASTER COPY has gone itno mass production forthe 25th. So by then we shall know everything. The U.S relase date is the 10th of feb atm
As its gone into production people are thinking/hoping the UK release date will be closer as there are no dealys now seeing as the game is finished. The translation was done during developemnt (appreantly, dont take my word for it) so its finished! so why the hell is the UK version not anticipating a Q1 realease like Jap and America??? instead they have sepcualted we are getting a August release ¬¬ id rather having it two weeks ( or there abouts) after the US release.

I doubt Nintendo will make Europe wait until August for it, it wouldn't do tehm much good. I would think March at the latest. Shop says are saying 25th Jan and 1st of Feb (play and Amazon respectively) but that's probably wrong seeing as the US date is 10th Feb.

Jan 25th is deffo wrong seeing as that is the release date for Japan and we arent gettting it before the US tho it would be nice wipe the smirk off their faces...

I stopped doing updates here because they were all very boring... They arent doing updates because of the time of year etc... And it says that on the site itself. Most important update of the last 2 weeks is that you have to "capture" trophies rather than collect them...

And yes, it will be Brawl week XD

I thought the dragoon item was pretty cool, personally. Doubt it will be used much, though, as it's so difficult to get.

Cruel will always be won by Kirby and his B Down move... :/ Unless someone else takes the limelight in Cruel. Otherwise its Bowser DK will return as the king of 15 min too, B down ftw... If he keeps it

Is multi man brawl the return of that wireframe fight in Melee? That was pretty fun, this looks like it might have a bit of a twist with different enemies, aswell. Co-op is always good to see!

Most broken character EVER.... He picks the Pikmin :/ and then uses... Basically without them he can do nothing. Whats slightly interesting is that there are 5 Pikmin colours... Instead of the 3 that werein the games :/

I think Sakurai has a screw loose with this one They dont look very good at all Still, Ill have to play with them! Atleast he'll be easy to fit into the story... He crash lands like everywhere XD

Personally, I think that looks like an interesting character, to say the least. Will ahve to wait and see how he plays, though. Nice bit of variation in the character lineup, like the pokemon trainer and ice climbers.

Yeah, the Wii is a good fun console, quite a few of us have one.

I beleive the ETA is late Jan/Early Feb for Japan, mid Feb for America then Q2 for Europe (don't know why it's so late). I may be wrong, though.

24th of Feb for Japan (2 weeks!), 10th of Feb for US... and atm, noting for europe

We'll need to set up a Wiicode thread or something in the near future for all the people who have Wii's on here... :/ I know most of us have codes already, but would be nice if we gave our codes out to new people who come here!

We didnt guess it... Its his trusted Grenade Launcher. He jumps into the air, grabs a Helicopter and flies to the front of the screen, where he proceeds to launch 12 grenades onto the arena. Doesnt look overwhelmingly good... But looks useful enough.

A helicopter attack, seems a little boring if you ask me and only 12 shots :S

That FS looks pretty good to me. The shots appear to be fairly powerful and you get 12, which is a fair few. One of those that require a fair bit of skill, I think.
