Oh yes, a mess around mode!

LOL @ sad electrode!

The colours are interesting. I like the fact they now have reason rather than just being a simple cangeable colour part of the skins (which was what Melee had, I think). Though there still seems to be some random colour changing.

It looks like most, or atleast a lot of, characters have a "dark" form - Mario (there's a black one), Link, Fox, Zelda (in the background) and Ike. I also think Samus will have one (the corrupt form).

Its basically so more than one person can use the same player + lets Nintendo make up alternate costumes to whoever they want without them needing to mean anything...

Today was an Assist Trophy in the form of Saki Amamiya...

Saki Amamiya appears from Sin & Punishment: Successor to the Earth! << From the website :| I'd never heard of him before today... But he does have an awesome weapon.

He has whats called a Cannon Sword...A crazy cross between, you guessed it, a cannon and a sword...

First he slices and dices (Much like Samurai Goroh and Lyndis) and then jumps into a huge cannon blast...

And from what the Dojo says, Japan were all behind him actually being playable, and with that weapon, he could of been. But Sakurai knows whos in and whos out... Just who else will be in remains to be seen...

Yeah, I know what colours are for! I was saying the actual colours are interesting.

Hmm, I hadn't heard of that game either, looks like it was originally Jap only for the N64 but was released on the VC. Sounds like a pretty typical rail shooter.

As for the trophy itself, pretty cool, looks quite powerful and cool at the same time, lol.

Yeah...I always hated Rail shooters....:/ so boring and WAY to predictable...

But the character does actually look decent...Reading over at IGN, they reckon Krystal (From StarFox) is going to be the next confirmed character...Going into the newcomer box. Filling the last square in the "Newcomers" box on the Dojo pages...I'd rather have news of Captain Falcon and Jigglypuff first though :)

Well...Now you've stolen my thunder (get it? :P)

Indeed it was....Today was Lucas' Final Smash and some info on chaged B moves.

But First...its PK STARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSTORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRMMM!!!!!!!

When Lucas gets the Smash ball...You better run...One of the most powerful PSI moves is heading everybodys way....

As you can see, it hits everyone on a smallish map ;) And may be avoidable on bigger maps if your fast enough...But who is going to be able to outrun the blast of StarStorm? Even Lucas might be in trouble himself :lol:

There was also some stuff on B moves. As we all know, DK and Samus have had chargeable B moves since the first game. Giant Punch and Charge Shot respectively. However, since Melee (who are in the update) Link and Pikachu have also gained charged moves. They however are slightly different in how the act. Link's and Pikachu's are..."One use" charges. You charge and release to do damage in one movement...However, DK and Samus do a "Stored charge", where they wind up there B move, then can move freely around until it is needed to be released by hitting B again. Mewtwo had a similar move in Melee with ShadowBall.

You know, I'm really liking the look of Lucas, would be better as Ness with PSI Rockin' (the official name), but whatever, still awesome!

Seeing as I never really played Melee properly, the charged moves don't interest me much. However, it does make sense for Samus to charge, of course!

I truly hope Ness is a colour swap of Lucas... At the moment, he is one of my favourites now. Alas, I wont use him as much if he doesnt have a Ness colour swap :lol: And anyway, Lucas should use HIS difinitive move, not Ness'...But I can't finds what Lucas' is..:P

Actually, Lucas' is PK LOVE for his special move, Ness' is PK/PSI Rockin', Starstorm is only for Poo and Kumatora (one of Lucas' companions). Also, Lucas and Ness never actually learn Fire, Freeze and Thunder. So in conclusion, SSB got it all wrong!

Actually, in Melee they rectified that with the Paula trophy! They implied she had taught Ness Thunder, Fire and Magnet... Just prior 2 his appearance in the original SSB :P

I don't know about Lucas' friends so a similar excuse may be used!

Next week we need a character and some more story info really.,,*Prays for Cptn Falcon to be confirmed*

Weve already had another character announcement just unofficial somebody let slip that Luigi is in the game not only if u look up Charles Martinet (voice of mario/luigi/wario/Waluigi) on wiki does it say that he provides Luigis voice for the game, somebody also let it slip during an interview!

Indeed...my laptop has screrwed itslef, but I should be able to do an update on friday for tomorrow and friday itself...

Anyway, after Skiller's rather poor updates ;) I'll give some more info on what we got on Monday, Tuesday and today....

As Skillers' said, Monday was a control update.

Being able to have a name, and then your personal preferences is nothing new to most games, but it is new to SSB. Melee had a similar function with the names, but it was no where near as good. This time we see proper personalised (and accessable) Names so we can use them at other ploayer's houses etc....

The gamecube set up is typical. However, the top right corner has "Tap Jump: On". Now on the GC pad, Classic Pad and Wiimote + Nunchuk, this option is basically telling the game to register an upwards tap on the control stick as a Jump or not. I'll have this off, because on a GC pad, I use X and Y to jump (And the stick is really annoying).

Also, with the Nunchuck attachemtn and control scheme, the Nunchuk can act like the "C" stick on the GC pad. Shaking it up will do an Up Smash, Side for a normal smash and down for a down smash. A little use of the motion sensors thrown in by the developers.

You can also transfer your name over to the Wiimote and take it places, similar to taking you Mii somewhere to play Sports.

On Tuesday, we had 2 updates: some Music from Donkey Kong (Which ROCKS) and some info on widescreen setups.

This is a normal screen setup... Most people will recognise where everything is put from Melee and the Original, pretty basic...Now we have Widescreen Mode

As you can see the screen and gameplay area is much larger...However, it only lets you see further off the edges, it DOES NOT change the KO Boundaries on the sides of each map.

And today....FINALLY... We had Wario's Final Smash.... ITS WARIOMAN!!!!!

As usual, he eats come Garlic and becomes much more powerful... he does not however, launch a unique move like everyone else. He instead fights with his normal moveset, just with added POWER! He also looses the ability to ride his Bike...Well you can try!

And yes, I did play as Falcon a lot, and YES there has to be a really iportant update coming up...:/ Like maybe a European release date???? And LOL at the Video, he didn't even realise, and :P The Wiki has been locked for editing :) and rectified with no sign of Luigi on the line in question.....

Hmm, Warioman seems interesting. I'm guess he just becomes super strong and stuff. Doesn't actually specify how long it lasts or if you become invulnerable or anything.

Well, finally, today was an update I was personally waiting for!

Event Matches return! In Melee, there were 51 pre-determined missions that culminated in Event 51: The Showdown...

This is that match done rather more expertly than how I did it...

Today sees a their return, how many we dont know... But we do now have a difficulty scale for each mission...

We can select Easy, Normal or Hard modes for each mission. On Melee, they got progressively more difficult to pass. There are atleast 9 levels, with probably another 40 under wraps...:) Some of the easier ones are listed on the Smash Bros website, so head over there for a look at Link, Mario, Metakight, Yoshi and Pit in action :)

Yeah... It usually aids in unlocking trophies and characters mroe than anything. And its big kudos if you've done them all, regardless of how long it took you :)

Probably my second favourite 1P mode from Melee was the event matches...Classic was the best by a long way. I just ope All Star DOESNT return....

Today's update was a stages, specifically the Temple, which even I recognise from Melee!

Yes, it is the return of some of the Melee stages, most notable the Great Temple.

With the return of the Melee stages, maybe some of the Original stages will return again? Kirby N64 and Yoshi's stage returned in Melee...

Personally I think they could easily bring back a lot of the old levels, seeing as they are pretty simple to make. Either that or someone will make them with the editor.

All Star was basically a mode where u picked a chaacter, then you had to fight past all the other characters once... It didn't make a lot of sense. But it was a challenge. Damage was carried over from one match to the next, and you only have one life to do it with. There are 3 Heart Containers (Which recover ALL damage)... But only 3...And seeing as you have to fight 25 Mr Game and Watches at the end...But you have to fight all the other characters in a random order, so mant people reset it until they get all the weak opponents near the end, and all the tougher ones near the start....

They could bring back ALL the old levels if they wanted too... Except Icicle Mountain from Melee...that stage royally sucked XD

Icicle mountain was awesome! i hated that balloon pokemon one i kept on jumping when those polygon/pomrygons whatever came on thestage i jumped on those and got wiped off hte stage now that used to get on my nerves.
