Its a Pokemon today!

Piplup surfs into action in a similar style to Marill on Melee.

Piplup was the water starter for the 4th generation...But this now almost cans the idea that the "Pokemon Trainer" character has alternate costumes that have the 4 different starter sets included....

Well he could always have a different evolution?

TBh, I think it would be a bit difficult/pointless to implement lots of different pokemon for the trainer. Would be cool if he could do special stuff with balls, though.

Hmmm true....They could have "Seal" stickers...

In Diamond and Pearl u get these things called "Seals". They basically change what ampokeball looks like when u open it. People have already exploited the "Unkown" (The alphabet ones) stickers to have rude words when the Pokeball opens

And true, he could use Prinplup or Empoleon for his Evolution. I'm pretty sure Blastiose will make a Hydro Pump pokeball appearnace and be as annoying as he was in Melee....So anything is possible!

I actually meant the balls you pick up on the stage. Maybe give him some form of little control over them...

One thing I must say is, for a Nintendo game, the graphics are actually looking pretty sweet. I don't mean the Nintendo thing as an insult, just graphics never really were there thing, but some of the effects on here (fire/water) look pretty nice...

Finally! After making his SSB debut in the very first Brawl trailer, he has finally been announced. This marks an end to the characters weve known about being released, from here on out, its people who we havent seen in trailers all the way....

Still, there are 2 more characters who ARENT Nintendo creations to appear in Brawl...Sonic is looking very likely as a second, but there are far too many to fill the third spot!

Snakes music and his B moves are also with todays main update, so its been a pretty awesome week for us Brawl Fans

Snake is awesome! I like the fact that he has rockets, mortars and grenades. He needs to have throat slitting or something similar, possibly a bit much for Brawl, though (gore scale).

Also, one thing that annoys me;

Grenades don't work like that! The pin does not activate it, releasing the spoon does! The pin is only a safety device to hold the spoon down!

Wow... I looked at the picture and actually know who he was before seeing the name... anyway just thought id mentions me and my sister have asked for a Wii and parents have said yes so thats on our joint xmas prezzie list, they have also asked us what games we want, so i guess i could just ask for the money for the game then we can get it when it comes out, and get a few other games instead

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't look like we will get Brawl here until the new year, but there are plenty of other games to get in the meantime.

(Maybe Snakes a numpty and releases the spoon too )And yes, u are very correct, there will be no neck slicing or anything in that way, Nintendo are the best on censorship. It does look however that he does have the "Choke hold". He's got Ike by the mouth and is probably a grab/throw move. It all looks very intriguing I love his B Up too, awesome way to bring in the "Flying" 3rd person camera view perspective from the games....

Actually, that always annoys me whenever I see it, just seems stupid...

The choke hold could possibly be some form of throw combo. I wonder what his Final Smash will be, though...

I hope they utilize Snakes box in an appropriate way, it would be good as a shild "lookalike" like Yoshi's egg shield...Or a move using it would be interesting....

Heh, I think the lets hope not is the Raiden thing. Though throat slitting wouldn't fit anyway (KOs are always off screen, AFAIK).

The box should be used appropriately, probably as a shield.

Today is Diddy Kong's Final Smash. I thought it may be something Banana related, but again, i have been proven wrong

Yesterday's was Trophies, which make a welcome return to Smash from Melee. Hopefully there will be some more "Future Release" described trophies to give us a glimpse into the future of nintendo

That final smash actually looks pretty fun for just chaos and zooming around...

Ah yes....The wonderful Mr Resetti....From Animal Crossing, he simply talks at you. In th actual game he got very annoyed when you "reset" or turned the game off without saving....Now in Brawl, he seems to do roughly the same thing....

well that just looks annoying more than anything. Does he do anything but rant?

Today is the Pokemon Trainers Final Smash!



TRIPLE ATTACK! It makes use of the 3 very powerful elemental moves, Fire Blast, Hydro Pump and Solar Beam.

I thought it might of been Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon and Frenzy Plant...But unfortunatly not....

Nice, I like the text box touch, aswell!

I think they used those moves as they are more recognisable (from red and blue), should have been flamethrower, though.

Well....haven't updated this for a bit...Most of the info in the first post should be up to date now....With the addition of Lucas:

We now have a roster of 22 characters...Melee had 25 in total and some core characters (Luigi, Cpt Falcon and Jigglypuff) still havent been announced. The future of Ness is probably non-existant now, seeing as Lucas has arrived.

With Sonic came 2 new videos, which showed both his final smash and some more information on The Subspace Emissary

Kyogre and Torchic also look likely to be from Pokeballs, and Snorlax makes a third appearance in the franchise also from the scenes in the Video. From the videos it is also safe to assume that Trophies return. In the mean time we have had Fox's Final Smash (Landmaster Tank) and some more music info. Also in the video a "Warp Star" was being used by Sonic in the Metal Gear Stage, which was accompanied by secret videos on the US website. For some reason, these extra videos were not available on anything but the Japanese and American sites. They explain some of the facts of Nintendo Characters (Mario, Yoshi, ZS Samus and Wario) to Snake.

Also, Japanese launch date has been pushed BACK to the 24th of January. Currently, America's release seems the same, but from the website, it looks like the date has gone back to TBD....
