No, a USB Hard Drive, like a Western Digital MyBook Essentials 500GB for example. They cost about £80.

Oh, one of those. I tend to find that you can never have too much disk space. ;)

32bit supports up to and including 4GB, so you wouldn't need a 64bit OS...

However, I do agree, Macs are probably very nice to use, BF loves them, and they just seem nice.

Try it, it doesn't work. Windows XP will pick up about 3.25GB, and that is it's limit for 32-bit.

I'm still finding it really difficult to decide what to do with the money. I do enjoy having a powerful computer most of the time, but I also hate using Windows, and Linux really isn't a gaming OS. I'm sure that I would really enjoy building a new computer, but I'd have to put up and shut up with Windows. If I got a Mac, I would be just as bad - getting in to the habit of throwing away my whole computer to replace it with the newer model for example.

That sucks. It means we wont probably be able to reach the recommended system requirements for Crysis (they haven't been released yet but the devs say the demo specs for the booths were 4 gigs, and they struggled in places).

Save up and spend the money on a monster rig to play Crysis at max settings. :D

And remember, you don't have to spend the money. Why not invest it and gain interest?

I started up a savings account last month, and I'm putting away £150 every month in to high interest savings! (6% variable, 5.75% typical)

Species, Crysis is DX10, it needs Vista.

as for computers, I see your dilemma. that's one problem with the macs, that they can't be upgraded without going to a proper Apple technician.

You can upgrade the memory and battery yourself, but that's it. Similar to other laptops.

Yeah, but I was talking about macs in general, such as the big ones. I don't think they're easy to upgrade. However the Macbooks memory is a doddle from what I've seen.
