As the title suggests (and for those who obsessively click links without reading the titles), I want you to challenge me.

To be more specific, decide on something you wish to challenge me with. Post your requests, and then I will choose. This can be something competitive against you, or some objective for me.

The rules (which I may add to if someone thinks outside the box and posts something horrific that I had not thought to cover in the rules):

* It must be achievable (ones that are achievable but involve death or grievous bodily harm do not count as being achievable). It must also have a realistic timeframe (As in a maximum of a week or two, not months or years, unless someone posts a really good one that I consider an exception).

* It must not be too personally violating (I have to post this one or I have a feeling I may get certain irritating suggestions).

* Please try to think of a challenge that you think I could relate to, as in something that fits with me and my personality.

If I fail the challenge, the person who suggested it/the winner gets 100 Techonians from me. If I succeed, then I get the satisfaction of knowing I succeeded.

If I am given a personal challenge (ie one that I can only do at home, etcetera), I will endeavour to post evidence.

This can be anything, from learn something in a week, 1vs1 CSS, etcetera.

There is no specific time-frame except those set by the people posting the challenges. I will decide when I will start it though, and when I finish it, I will decide when to start the next one.

Post away, people.

Sing with DHR during the karaoke at the LAN.

The song has to be You're my mate - Right Said Fred.

Has to be achieved by the end of the LAN.

Hug strangers,
you have one entire day to hug strangers, you may choose who they are (as long as they don't know you it's all good) and the location.

My record is 47

I have witnesses as proof.

Timeframe is two weeks, however you have 24 hours from hugging your first person (you don't have to use all the hours, I fit drinking and sleeping into my day too)

Hugging strangers. I could potentially be arrested for assault.

Let me add to the rules, please think of a challenge that you think I could relate to, ie something that sort of fits my personality. Hugging of strangers....does not. ><

To be honest, it would only take one person to cry foul. And whilst not exactly a believer in conspiracy theories, I would rather not take my chances in this sort of society.

I will sing 'a' song, if I must, but anything but that one. Please. And no swearing must be included within it.

+1 for song.

Learn a programming language (including website ones like PHP. HTL doesn't not count, that's markup) and make something significant with it. I would recommend a website with PHP.

For mine, 2 weeks from starting to have a functional blog with users and comments is reasonable, I think.

I will be keeping a very close eye on this thread. Anything more controversial than Dopper's suggestion is probably going to end with this thread being removed.

Let's stop being stupid please.

This thread will not be removed. And it is Nannal's suggestion that is controversial, not Dopperlancer's. And I will take his suggestion in jest, not seriously.

man up stop being an idiot, it's not controversial, abortion, euthanasia and genetic engineering are controversial this is the suggestion that you ought to go hug some people and build up some self confidence

Make a "Free hugs" sign, go to somewhere public, see what happens

Quote:

also stop being an idiot, nobody who has asked a stranger for a hug and has then received a hug has EVER been arrested for Assault.

If you ask first, then it's fine. If you glomp someone randomly, that may be an issue. Especially if they're female.

Exactly. In addition with not fitting with me. I may well stretch to the song. It is after all, a challenge.
