I think it was Gabe who once said "the PS3 is a waste of everyone's time" (he actually said that, a defacto quote). It was more recent that the programming for the PS3 is a <FEMALE DOG> comment.

Well it's not like Sony helps themselves much, making a radical system different to most modern pc's and consoles while not providing much of a graphical benefit compared to 2 models up from the graphics card used in the 360. And they didn't provide as much support for dev's as microsoft has always done, even before the consoles (see Stevens video).

Now that Sony have made it easier and more people can work with it, of course Valve are going to hire a team and get it on there.
