Dell G2410 - highly recommend it if you don't need any ergonomic features. Best image quality I've ever seen on a monitor. The screen kind of looks like a page out of a magazine or something. It's so crisp and the LED backlighting makes a crazy difference compared to this monitor to the side of me... makes me wonder why I would bother spending almost twice as much on the 2408WFP with WCCFL backlighting. However... It's still not as overpowering and WOW as the 3007WFPHC from last year. Hopefully they'll make an LED backlit 30 incher. I'd snap that up even if I didn't have the money... Update: Pledge is null and void now, as I do not have a PC to upgrade |

That's just cheating. How much is this monitor and what type is it? |

Dell G2410 got it for about £220 I think. 24 inch and 1080p (unfortunately). |

1080 is OK, but 2560x1600 is where it's at. (QSXGA?) Mine is LED backlit |

Skillers wrote: I meant IPS, SPVA or TN etc? It is a TN panel. For that price you'd find it hard to get anything else. |

Yeah, I figured it would be, though I didn't expect him to be saying such things about a cheap screen when he first said it. |

It is indeed. However, it is noticeably better image quality than even the thirty incher. Also I think I read somewhere that TN panels with LED backlighting can exceed 100% NTSC gamut. Update: but I won't notice that anyway, I'll be keeping this monitor in the "Energy Smart Plus" mode. |

Interesting, I might have to look into that, I've been after a high quality, slightly bigger screen backlight bleed is very annoying. |

I'm interested in that screen now, hmm. Would be nice when I get a 5870. Hmmm. I may either get that screen, or a normal HDTV 32-42 incher and just keep on trucking with my 20" samsung. I just don't know. |

Could you post an image of your keyboard / mouse quite close to the screen. With your hand on the mouse also. Pweeeeez. Want to know what the difference would be like going from 20" widescreen to "24". Also does anyone recommend a nice lcd tv, 32-37(or more) for under £450ish would prefer to spend more like £380ish but can go up to about £500. I've been looking on amazon and ebuyer but there's so much choice I just want someone to tell me which is the best a feature cnet lacks. |
