I want to try a few different things to see if we get more people on, and one thing I am going to try is a 24/7 server. But of which map? Any thoughts? |

It need to be a popular map with very few 24/7 servers to work. I still think pl will work quite well. |

dunno the name, just know if you had details of players / map you would see a drop in the number of people playing. |

Looking at HLStats, looks like you mean hoodoo (the one with the different bomb), though the drop does start in goldrush, might have been the late night. I quite like the map in general, but it does have a lot of horrible chokes. I would say a set of popular PL (not PLR) maps would work quite well. Goldrush is definitely a draw, looking at the HLStats graph, but it doesn't have a big enough history to say much else. Popular/good PL maps, I would say: Goldrush Badwater Upwards and Thundermountain (because they're new, maybe removed at later date) Maybe some customs, but I haven't played many customs for a while. Also, have a longer map timer, which helps PL maps get a good play. |

Exactly what I was using, though that will change shortly and make no sense  You can see it does start to drop in GR, but it definitely doesn't pick up with Hoodoo, unlike it did after badlands. |

People played Hoodoo for a bit, I think the server emptied after we'd played a few rounds of it. I guess people just started going to bed. Anyway, for a 24/7 server I've always said we should have goldrush or badwater for one of those. |

If you want to do 24/7 then playload wise I think pl_badwater is the best choice. |

a combination of pl maps is a good idea. With maybe dustbowl as well. DB/GR/BW would be an awesome server. I'd play on it even ;o |

Hmm, dustbowl? Maybe good linear attack/defend maps, which are PL maps and those 6 CP ones. |
