Now for this new GMOD server we're switching from win.rar to SVN. Why? Because it allows us to make sure that you have the latest versions of everything. This thread will tell you the easiest way to do it.
Note: These instructions assume you only ever use Techious. If you use other gmod servers alot then this is probabily a bad idea for you, but glhf
HOW TO INSTALL OUR SVN
Now, unlike most svn, we cover your entire gmod folder, if you don't like the risk, then checkout elsewhere and just add stuff yourself later. It's that simple. Also, this probabily works best on a clean install of garrymod, so rename the folder and launch once if you like to keep shiz tidy.
- Now, first you will need TortoiseSVN, avaiable at http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/ Install that shiz.
- Go into your garrysmod\garrysmod folder, e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\simonpcook\garrysmod\garrysmod
- Right click on the folder, and checkout.
- Checkout http://svn.simoncook.org/garrysmod/trunk/client/ and make sure the TortoiseSVN window looks like:
(OBVIOUSLY WITH YOUR STEAM USERNAME AND WHEREVER YOU PUT STEAM)
Note: The username is client, the pass is lololol - You will get a popup saying something like the folder is not empty. We know, just click OK/next/whatever
- Enjoy checking out the folder.
Note: The initial download will be about 500ishMB. It will use 3GB of space for the overhead of the svn tracking, but thats what gives us win later.
UPDATING IN THE FUTURE
- Go to the garrysmod\garrysmod folder
- Right click, and select update

Checkout what you want from http://svn.simoncook.org/garrysmod/trunk/client/
