Post subject:  Map Discussion and Upload Rules

By default maps are not allowed to be uploaded by members, you must apply to be a member of the "Map Uploaders" group. To see if you are in this group, look at the group memberships, and to apply, find the group on the User Control Panel and select "Join Selected", a member of staff will then allow you into the group.

Rules for map upload
  • Only upload .nav .bsp or .txt files. If other files are needed (extra textures) then please contact one of the admins and we will see what we can do for you.
  • Only upload maps into this forum. If you are found uploading other files then your upload rights will be removed and you will not get them back!
  • There is a maximum file size of 128MiB per file. This should satisfy any map, again if it doesn't please contact an admin and we will try and sort something.
  • Please do not upload maps that we already have on rotation, we have a download location for these, we do not need another thank you.

How to introduce a map to us
Please use a box like this (I will use pl_goldrush as an example)

Map Name:Goldrush
Game:Team Fortress 2
Map Type:Payload
File Name:pl_goldrush
Description:Official TF2 Map by Valve
Screenshot (if available):None found

The code for this table is:
Code:
[table]
[tr][td][b]Map Name:[/b][/td][td]Goldrush[/td][/tr]
[tr][td][b]Game:[/b][/td][td]Team Fortress 2[/td][/tr]
[tr][td][b]Map Type:[/b][/td][td]Payload[/td][/tr]
[tr][td][b]File Name:[/b][/td][td]pl_goldrush[/td][/tr]
[tr][td][b]Description:[/b][/td][td]Official TF2 Map by Valve[/td][/tr]
[tr][td][b]Screenshot (if available):[/b][/td][td]None found[/td][/tr]
[/table]

(Just change what you need when you do)

To upload your files, you will see the upload attachment box under the main forum. Please note that on average, a 30MiB file could take about 15 minutes to upload, so do not be worried that the upload status is there for a while, it will be as the files upload. Generally your upload speed is tiny compared to your download speed.

If you have any discussions about this, do not hesitate to reply here or just speak to an admin

BTW, the more details about the map you give, the more likely we will be to look at it. Screenshots are very useful, aswell.

You can suggest maps if you don't have upload, but you should give lots of detail about the map, provide screenshots and a quick download link, such as FPS banana.

Also, if you make maps we will accept them aslong as they are in a usable state and you keep an updated log of their construction in the appropriate forum.
