I'm almost certain that it will be, considering it's one of the most anticipated PC games of all time... and it's very easy to see why. I think you're just having some technical difficulties with the game, Skillers ;)

I've been in almost the middle of a nuke blast in the beta, and it took me down to 20 health when I was in maximum armour mode. The nanosuits must be super resistant to the shockwave. I do hope the nukes in the full game have a lot more power. Todays nukes would flatten everything within a 10 mile radius (nobody knows what they're like today, really, but they're more powerful than the Hiroshima for example), so a nuke of 2020, you'd expect to be even more destructive. Perhaps the fact that it's not a full sized nuke is a good reason for its lack of destructive force...

Also, I'll be the first one out of all of you to play the game - I'm preloading it and unlocking it at midnight on the day of release. That means I'll be playing it until I leave for work that day.

While it is the most anticipated, I still doubt it could be given a near perfect score...

Also, the nukes aren't full sized nukes, they're what are no as tactical nukes. Small nuclear warheads that deliver a small blast, but still sizable in comparison to what other warheads of that size would do. However, the shockwave and blast aren't strong enough, they don't even kill soldiers within 20m (ish). We do have this technology, but it is not deployed due to nuclear weapons being illegal in the UN and with lots more worry over conventional weaponry. The idea of them is to take out buildings and encampments.

Apparantly the stock nuke gun placed in the sandbox does little damage because you must set its variables. I'll look at this tonight.

I just checked it in the editor and I couldn't find anything to change that would relate to damage.

I'll check this out when I get home tonight.

Well if you do find something, tell us! I want to make a big explosion!

Couldn't find anything that would relate to damage, effect radius etc. but I did find that the TAC Tank did a lot more damage than the TAC Launcher....

Well apparently Met knows how...

Also, Crysis got 92% in PCZone, seems pretty fair. They did also note that the hype was way over the top, loads of stuff has been cut. Things like choosing your starting point and a highly interactive story (if a character dies, it changes the story) and a fair few other things, which is why there may be a lot of disappointment.

I didn't know about any of the cut stuff.

Neither did I. :/

I've never heard any of those rumours before.

It was in PCZone a lot. I think they had a deal with Crytek to get most of the information and preview stuff. They weren't rumours, they came from Crytek.

Oh well, at least I won't miss anything ;)

I neither knew of nor expected those features. The demo was awesome in my opinion. I will be getting the full game.

Well it was part of the hype...

Anyway, I think 82% sounds like a pretty fair score from what I've seen. Any other reviews around?

I thought you said 92. :S

And there's the PCG US one, where it got 98 percent, and there's a few others around.

By the way...

Oh and you can ban or block me for this Met, if you must...

I'm playing the full game on Wednesday 14th November... 2 days before the official release! I get to download the collectors edition DVD and the bonus music CD whilst I unlock the full game (that I have already downloaded, 6 yummy gigabytes). Oh the benefits of officially preordering Crysis are really starting to show.

Post subject:  Re: Crysis

LOL, Met, you can't ban for that!

Anyway, getting it 2 days early doesn't really seem worth it when you become EA's <FEMALE DOG>. Plus I probably won't but it immediately anyway.

Post subject:  Re: Crysis

I don't care if I have sold my soul to EA. I get Crysis early!

Post subject:  Re: Crysis

Well I don't think 2 days is really worth it, then again I'm not someone who will buy this as soon as available.

Post subject:  Re: Crysis

That's a shame :( It really is a fantastic game and the hype should be believed. The quality is outstanding.

Post subject:  Re: Crysis

Yeah, but I don't feel the need to rush out and buy it. Don't get me wrong, iw ill buy it, but probably in a couple of weeks.

I'm going to post some screenshots of some Crysis stuff tonight (early tomorrow morning).
