So umm.... yeah.... probably the best Sonic game in a decade. Debatable as to whether it's the best Sonic game ever (in my opinion, outstandingly close to the originals in terms of sheer fun and gameplay).

Voice Acting- admittedly I miss the old cast (since I didn't have problems with it) but the new cast they've got are perfectly fine. Just need more voicing in honesty.

Gameplay- they've taken the best and implemented it pretty much flawlessly (the Homing Attack mechanics might need work, but I've never had a problem personally). Original gameplay ala Sonic 1-3, Modern gameplay ala Sonic Unleashed Day all blended together to produce a flawless result. You get the best of both worlds.

Length- the main story isn't too long (6 hours tops), but there's plenty of challenges to keep you gripped in the game. When you've done those, there's Red Rings to find in stages helping you explore the world and know the fastest routes. Finally you can simply race and try and beat your times and scores (I'm up for the challenge).

Story- this is Sonic so I didn't expect much in terms of story (I do miss the days of Sonic Adventure (and 2) for storyline however) especially since they've cut back on complicated storylines (like Sonic 06). Simple story that could have probably been executed better but it's not so bad as to be an actual flaw to the game. It's enough plot to get by with to give you a purpose in the game.

Price- £20 when not on sale is low enough for me to consider it a bargain. When it was on sale at £15, it felt like a steal. When it then went to ~£6, I thought it was like robbing a bank.

Graphics- absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to find out how to export the models of some characters.

Overall- brilliant game, must have for any Sonic fan, worth considering even if you're not a Sonic fan as it's a great game regardless.

9.9/10

Thank goodness Sonic Team finally have found a stable way to make Sonic games. Now if they could keep the gameplay and begin making an epic story, we'll have a 10 sometime soon :D
