Yeah, doors on custom maps can be pretty buggy at time. they either don't open or they squish you.

Oh, I've been squashed by doors more time than I have by trains, lol. I can't remember where there's a track immediately outside spawn :/

and skillers ur right about doors, bloody things, i got killed by the drop down ones at wolf once...

There aren't actually that many doors in TF2, except the spawn doors. I can only think of the building doors on Well atm.

I hate the doors on Jinxed, they always get stuck.

Usually you just have to make sure everyone moves back from the doors and tries again.

I hateit when people just camp outside the doors as demomen, it's pointless, really, especially when there's only one spawn door. I also hate demomen camping in spawn next to downed intel, making it impossible to take.

Always take the demomen before anyone else... :/ Then sentries and engineers. Sticky bombs are the bain of anyone on the map, killing the Demoman kills the stickies...

yeh, spy is pretty important at the start of the game i think to get rid of sentries before they are really strong and to take out base camping demos

The problem is when the demomen camp in spawn or outside your spawn. You can't kill them in the first, and they just kill you in the second. And sentries always come first, killing those is a huge advantage to your team as they take time to set up, whereas the demomen can be back in a few seconds.

yeh and it can also be very difficult killing sentries when they have been set up. tho 2 spies coordinated together can take care of this problem!

Well it really depends on nearby engineers and space. I find a spy+anything can work. I have rushed in (as pyro) against a turret just after it's sapped, this means the engineer is too concerned with the spy, and the turret can't attack me. I swoop in and burn both the engineer and the turret at the same time. Turrets die incredibly quickly to fire and sapping, and the engineer can't do anything about it.

yeh, if 3 turrets r protecting each other, the spy cant really do anything apart from sap like mad and hope a teamate comes along to destroy them, such as a pyro.

i love backstabbing the engineer then sapping the turret :)

Depends where the engineer is in regards to the sentry, sometimes it's better to sap then stab, if the turret is likely to have enough time to turn round and kill you.

if u sap then kill sentry, its not normally possible if the sentry player is half decent.

it was fun backstabbing bratty a couple of times doing this, however

But if they're standing a bit away to the side of the sentry it becomes impossible to sap it before it blasts you to oblivion.

Teleporters behind your lines isn't that bad, quite easy to route out and destroy.

A sentry takes 1 second to make a full turn round. If you want to be safe, it is better to take the sap-and-stab method as this guarantees the sentry will not turn round and kill you after you have killed the Engie. However the Engie can shoot you with his shotgun or whack you with his wrench and still have enough time to knock the sapper off if you sap his turret first, so you had better be quick about killing the Engie after you have sapped or pray he will decide to kill the sapper rather than you.

The best and fastest way to deal with a sentry is a Pyro-Spy combo- the Spy saps the stuff and the Pyro immediately comes in (I really do mean IMMEDIATELY) and burns everything to the ground as the Engie will no doubt be too focused on his sentry to notice a giant fireworks diplay come charging in until it is too late.

The easiest way to deal with a turret is a single demoman. Cover the area in stickies and it doesn't standa chance, and quite often you can stay out of it's firing line. Spy pyro does work quite well, but spy and any other class can be just as effective, and it depends how far the pyro has to run to get to the turret (if its at the end of a corridor the pyro has to wait for it to be sapped before running in, and the engy can fix it in the time it takes to run down the corridor, which means the pyro is doomed).
