Well, not right now.. but I'll make this topic as a placeholder for my future EverQuest 2 gaming conundrums!

Me and The Danjay are going to play this together, possibly on a PVP server. I'd like to trek all the way up to the gates of Freeport so I can pwn some noobs. Lv70 required, naturally.

Would it be OK to just post images of the game in to this thread too? Obviously they will be screenshots taken by me demonstrating things like image quality, special effects, landscapes, places I've just been etc. ??

I sat down and played on this a bit last night.

I was intending to get a good nights sleep, but, well, the Danjay was online and we have both found out how to register the full game... so I was out exploring Antonica with him last night, looting loads of rare stuff. I got to Level 11 just before he did, but had to disconnect because I needed a bath. He got to Level 12 in that time... I would have sat down and played some more if it hadn't have been 3am.

I'll try and post some pictures of us playing when I get back home tonight.

Not much of a diary entry, but then again I haven't really done much.

I read in a PCGAMER review that Everquest is laggy and very demanding.

I'm pretty sure that you have a PC so ridiculously that you don't suffer from any of the the 'demands'. Razz

However, out of interest are you experiencing lag? Or did it lag to begin with but is now improved?

It never lags and never has done.

Tip: people with low end hardware should not opt to run the extreme quality mode. I consider this mode to be next-gen. Don't do it. Also, the hardware required for the high quality modes simply did not exist in 2004 or 2005. Running extreme quality mode on my PC brings it to its knees. I'll show you a screenshot and you will see exactly why this is!

Yeah, high end modes on lots of comps bring them to their knees. If your comp can't cope, turn it down. Simple as.

Not much further. I'm currently a Level 14 Berserker and a Level 10 Outfitter (artisan profession). I am mostly killing stuff in Antonica and picking up extermination quests.

I made a nice shiny weapon the other day. It would be the best weapon that someone on say, The Queens Colony would be able to use... so it's aimed at people Lv<=10. Still, it's possible to use there by transferring items between one character to another on the same account using the banking features.

It was made from copper, which is apparently a 'rare' item. It increased Health by 20 points and Strength by 6. Damage rating was 6.7.

I'm working towards making my own swords. I have a sword with a damage rating of 9.0 at the moment, which is pretty standard for a Level 15.

Looks good, I take it that the quality increases as you scroll down. Only, the first few don't look too different. Confused

Also, if you want to show us the full size images, why not post links to them? Wink
