Well, no. The user database still exists, but the user permissions table has been removed because the old permissions system sucked. The new one works more like an ACL of sorts...

Yeah, but it still exists! xP

Can't show AaronWeb? It is the most simple website in the world. Are school using Internet Exploder or Fireferret?

Post subject:  Re: AaronWeb

They're using the exploder. :p

EDIT: It doesn't show up on IE at home, only Firefox.

I'm getting the same here at work too...

That's very funny because there's no browser-specific code in there!
It's even XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid... see?

Hm, interesting. Maybe IE is just rubbish.

Or you've got some anti-IE code in it.

Post subject:  Re: AaronWeb

Honestly, no anti-IE code in there at all. Just fully standards compliant XHTML.

The only JavaScript I'm using is the master grabber code. And that's made to be compatible with pretty much every browser out there.

Does it work on IE at your home? Maybe there's a plugin needed.

Post subject:  Re: AaronWeb

Odd, tehn, it just doesn't work. Doesn't like IETab for FF either.

IETab? It's a plugin that allows IE only websites work in FF.

Post subject:  Re: AaronWeb

I was just being silly. I knew what IETab was!

I just don't understand why the website doesn't work in Internet Explorer. It's a very simple website created 100% in Notepad. There are no ActiveseX objects in the webpage, neither are there any Fireferret specific codes. The only JavaScript used is the master grabber function, which has been documented on this forum. It's only 3 lines long and works in all browsers. The CSS is valid, too... so it can't be a problem with that.

Everybody, please, just point and laugh at Internet Exploder because it can't even display a website with about 50 lines of code in total. Poor.

Post subject:  Re: AaronWeb

Only thing it could be is the javascript not being liked by IE?

Post subject:  Re: AaronWeb

But the thing is, I used that exact same code in all of my previous websites. It's IE friendly.

Maybe IE has decided to make the hatred mutual.

I've had a truly incredible idea for a custom made forum. It's based on AJAX technology.
