It's like 2 pages max in the GN, and then it's not really in your face, lol.

It is one of the best graphic novels ever created (according to some) and i'm currently slogging through it, bt h hate reading graphic novels so i'm not getting the full effect

Watchmen was hailed as one of the best most defining graphic novels at all time. The film was a wellmade and faithful adaptation of said novel. That's why it got a lot of attention, but it's not your typical action movie and is heavily story and character driven.

Wow, sounds pretty deep.I just thought that someone in hollywood thought of the next way to get rich off a another, high-tec,high-budget, cheap storyline movie.

I "bought" and watched the DVD and I have to say it lived up to the hype.

I agree that 'Raw-Shack' was an excellent character - I loved the meat cleaver bit coz I'm a sicko xD
And exploding people FTW :P

I may buy the book in the near future as I really enjoyed the film and I enjoy reading on a whole.
TBH I've never got on too well with comics but I think I'll give it a go anyway :)

If I don't like it, I'll :blameskillers:

Post subject:  Re: Watchmen

I would read the book first. The twists just work so much better in book form.
