It's still the most widely used screen recorder. I watch a few prominant Youtube game commentators and they all use Fraps. It's a shame there's no real alternative. |

Fraps is just so simple to use. You could literally make a clip of me owning up tf2 last night (typical night bro) in like 30 secs npnp. |

Serious post - if anyone is using fraps I'd recommend a program called easyh264 to compress your video file. Takes it from GB's to MB's! My clips only end up like 10mb in size after using it, compared to like 5gb before l0l |

The only problem I encountered with FRAPS was I ended up with something like 20GB of raw video footage from just 1 min of me dominating the Techious server (common occurence yo). Not really a problem with proper HDD space, but still one to note for those that don't have TB HDDs. |
