I was buring an audio CD on a CD-R and then wanted to delete it and it wouldn't!! It said that the files were read only and to copy to relpace the original files then to delte it. But when i did that it said the CD was protected!! GGGRRRR   :x :x so then i got a CD-RW that i can delete stuff off it!! But just wondering is it possible to delte stuff off a CD-R once it has been written on??

CD are write once only. Therefore you cannot delete stuff to use them again. Usually you can delete stuff, but that changes the file structure tabls, and doesn't remove the files, so you can't use them but the space is being taken up. CD-RWs, however, are multiwrite, and can be re-used again and again. That's why they cost more.

well the data on the cd-r is audio format, so if i put more audio files on it it would be ok?? And why do they say "700MB or 80mins" becasue sometimes 700mb of songs is more than 80 mins??!!!

It wouldn't work in ordinary CD Players, only the stuff you put on it to begin with as most CD Players can only read single session disks (a session is one point where you write to a disk). 700mb is 80 minutes in CD-Audio format.

Yes, 700mb of MP3 is about 700minutes, but most CD-Players can't read the MP3 compression codec, only CD Audio. Computers read them as files and not an audio CD.
