Buildin Comp from scratch, well i think i am. Im not too sure. Basically my plan is this christmas by all cheap parts for a computer, and build it all myself, to develop skills, it wont even be that good, just so i can get better at the hardware side, cos at the mo im not that good, and i think it will be useful to be able to do when im older, upgrading and buildin. So id like some tips if u can help, just so when i get there im not stuck, although my dad is helpin, i dont think he has ever built a computer from scratch, although i have recently found out he used to do programmin wiv the old punch cards, lol

Building the computer isn't that hard, you just need to be careful. Most the time you ca do it without help. You may need help with choosing components, though.

Also, what happened to your Mac?

Yeah, putting a computer together is like, how I always put it: having the toy where you have to put the square block in the square hole, and the triangle in the triangle hole. There's not too much that can go wrong.

I use the analogy "expensive jigsaw". Aslong as your careful with the components (they are fragile), and take it slowly, making sure you get everything correct, you will be fine. There are some articles on the net, that you may find helpful, but I didn't need them.

So anyway, if you need help putting a comp together, we'll glady be of assistance; pictures n everything.

naaa, i was just thinkin, cos im gettin a mac, but i will have to use a PC at least once in my life, and maybe it would be useful to be able to do it, say i wanted or needed to go back, and maybe do some modding, upgradin, it wud just be useful to do
