Do you mean holidays as in bank holidays, etcetera, or do you mean going abroad, etcetera?

They've always been to commercial, and everything these days is becoming too Americanised (or should that be Americanized?).

Lol Skillers :P

Yes they are. Halloween and Xmas completely. Halloween isn't anywhere near as bad as over there, but it's still an aweful holiday. Christmas has gotten ridiculously out of hand with songs being on the radio like now :| All the shops getting xmas stuff in now too... It's way too early D:

I do not have anything against America, or the people there. I do however not like how much this country seems to be trying to be like America in certain ways. I'm sure you people understand what I mean.

It's the reason I hate xmas so much... I'm not a scrooge (well I might be) it's just I hate most of the stuff associated with the holiday of XMas :/

I like Christmas, and I have good memories associated with the time. I also like other holidays, and 'special' times of the year.

Having companies try to exploit this amongst people several months before the actual times are saddening.

yes they are, but the way to stop them is to make it more personal to you, i know im already out buying xmas presents (but thats because my mates are soo damn picky to buy for)

i think this year christmas and halloween is gonna be downsized because families cant buy half the stuff they would normally

Holidays are all about people making money.

If thats commercial or not, it's up to you.
