So I received a spam email

I found it amusing.

All the email addresses that were mentioned in the email are in the quote above. The email address the quote says it is quoting is the email address from which the email was apparently sent. The email at the bottom is the one it wants people to reply to. If you get any good responses you should post them in the thread.

I worry that it could just be a spam email designed to check if an account exists or not. By replying, I'm probably opening the spam floodgates.

That's one of the reasons I didn't reply, as it was sent to my University email address (although in theory I could reply with another account, there is still the risk of the 'OH GOD THERE'S 200 NEW EMAILS IN MY INBOX' scenario).
