Nah, PS3 cluster isn't good for much. If you're thinking raw power, a multi Xeon + top end graphics would be much better.

I want raw power I can use. I have linux and tools that can run what I want across multiple devices and load balance and everything autonomously

Well, GPGPU is taking off quite nicely, an updated FASTRA would probably be pretty insane

funny this, just the other day we were asked to make a PC with certain specs for £2,000

I decided to screw alien ware and make one from ebuyer for better.

It can do if it fits the budget.
