Basically all i want it for is School and to Play RCT2 on. Thats it. So it dont need very much power or anything, just a decent hard drive and XP (id prefer ME/98 but o well) with Microsoft Office on it.

It needs to be less than ?400 really aswell.

You don't want a ME/98 computer now, very little software is compatable with them now. You won't be able to get MicroSoft Office with a laptop for under ?400, as the Office licence is still ?50 or so even under student licence, and around ?300 for the full licence. You could try [url=http://www.openoffice.org]OpenOffice[/url] which is free and compatable with all MSO files except databases.

The frst laptop doesn't have any specs on the eBuyer page, so I wouldn't get that. The second one is pretty lo spec, even with low requirements.

However, for only ?20 more you could have [url=http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/115617]this ACER laptop[/url] which is considerabley faster in every way (1 processor up, doublethe RAM, 10GB more HDD and weighs less, even better graphics aswell). Only thing is it's smaller screen, but on a laptop that isn't too significant and makes it more portable aswell. ACER are know for making good budget-midrange (even some high end) laptops.

Well i have a copy of Microsoft Office students and teachers, which is easy enough to load onto it. That would work.

Also it dont need to be high spec. I just want something for rct2. and school of course. but currently Grims is top....

Yup, so it's the laptop I found, just ?20 less, or with double RAM at the same price, possibly. It's a very high spec machine for the price.

I could well be getting it. All i need now is another ?60 i think. i have ?360 now. This weeks wages will be getting put towrds it aswell. And the ?260 in my Bank. ANd ?100 my oarents gave me. I will get it hopefully!
