There is no encryption key, this is purely pattern based.

I've been mostly working on my assignment all day. Once this is done after the Thursday I shall be properly having a good crack at this cipher stuff.

What's the point of the Encrypt-Decrypt buttons when it does it as you type?

For when you copy/paste with the mouse or if your browser doesn't support the onkeyup event for some reason (some phones maybe). 4a and 4b pretty much have every possible event covered, so I removed the buttons on those.
