I guess Intel paid a lot of money to these sites to say all nice things about these new processors, though there is no denying that they outperform the current Athlon 64 processors by a long way.

I'm not looking forward to seeing these new Intel chips in PC's, but when it comes to putting one of these in a Mac... I've heard some facts from an Apple developer on his blog that Apple have been in close contact with Intel, and have managed to get all the details on these future/next-gen processors so that their operating system is highly optimised. Microsoft haven't done anything like this yet. Apparently, if you run Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) with one of the Core 2 processors, you [i:cefbc414fb]will[/i:cefbc414fb] see a 100% performance improvement.

Excellent, can't wait!
