Office 12 has reached its beta 2 stage with microsoft finally calling the new command structure, 'The Ribbon'

So if anyone has tried it, comments or if there are questions i might answer as im using it all the time at the moment, 8)

Lots of news about this on Inquirer, saying that Microsoft want users to actually use the software. I have used it. It is an improvement, but most improvements are just the rejigged UI. Sometimes, it takes more clicks to get to simple options than in pre v12 Office software. Somehow feels clunky and unresponsive.

well i like the overall feel of it, but i was so used to alt+whatever to get to commands that its gonna take some used to, but ive got both office 12 and 2k3 working atm so if i dont like a thing in office 12 ill just do it in 2k3 and move it over (just like me, do it the hard way)

I like some of the things, like the wordart improvement in powerpoint and the improvment in lists (now called tables) in excel, but i cant help but feel its a reskinned office 2003 with new file formats.
