Wouldn't it be excellent if we could have 2 processors of different architectures running simultaneously?

We're already doing it -- CPU's and GPU's. Soon we'll have a PPU to play with. But wouldn't it be the coolest thing if there was a separate socket on the motherboard so that we could shove in a Cell CPU to power computer games, video, or other streamed content?

Wouldn't it be cool if we could use a 9 cored Cell CPU has the primary central processing unit? It would be interesting to see how well this chip performs in a desktop environment.

I saw an image of how it would be able to play 120 movies at a time without skipping a frame. Sounds good to me.

Yeah, it would be interesting if we couldhave lots of diffent CPU types running at once. However, I doubt it will happen, many companies are opposed to "sharing" meaning it's either them or the other guy, not both.

Maybe when the Physx is released, people will see why load balancing is more important. When the first GPU came out, to complement the CPU, people creamed themselves. Imagine playing Pacman at full 60fps!?

Yeah, though I think it was a bit past Pacman. I can see the Cell being used effectively in moderate power highly portable laptops.
