Check your cookies at various points. I once managed to bug FF and it would always delete all my cookies whenever it closed.

Indeed, I was aware of your bug. However this does not only affect the http://www. version, but also all other websites that you can log in to.

Seems to have been fixed by deleting cookies.sqlite in my Firefox profile directory.
