It a wonder how they create the monstrosity that is the PS3, let alone manage to make it worse. The Ps3 has drastically lost weight that its almost unrecognisable from a distance. Matt black finish rather than shiny, Actaul clumpy buttons wedged on the front rather than touch senstive ones. AND wait for it....the hardrive port is..........underneath the console. Yup great design there if u want to plug in another hardrive for extra memory or waht ever u have to stick it a wierd angle rather stupid tbh where as on origianl it used to be on the side. And this one the guys said u cant install linux on it no idea lol its hell of a lot smaller. getting rip of that huge (and pointless) bump. So doesnt look like the quasimodo of consoles. tbh It now looks bland and unoriginal. Everything that the PS3 stood for has pretty much gone and been replaced with a bland generic black box that weighs a tonne. GOod news (presuming your at all interesed) its gone down by 100 quid. Tbh id get an original (if i liked the library at all) ratehr than this version.

The slim, IMO, is a lot better than the old console, except 2 major things;

No backwards compatibility (PS2).
No custom OS installs (that's the Linux thing, Sony supported this in the original model).

Not that I actually want a PS3 anyway

i think it look ugly original design is much better. It it didnt have a matt finish i think it would look better.

Matt black finish is probably the best thing about the new model.

Everybody who owns an original PS3 will know that the shiny black picks up so much dust and fingerprints, it looks so tacky and disgusting.

I hope they never make another shiny console ever again. Matt black all the way.

I have never seen a "good looking" console, but maybe that's just me, i dont really care about how it looks, as long as it works.

Gamecube was relatively good looking imo... and Black Wii ftw <3
