Just thought I'd make a little graphical installation guide for some people.

Step 1: Installation


Click Next


Click Accept


Click Accept


Wait for this to finish


Select a Standard Installation if you want a quick and easy installation. If you want to change the drive or folder that AVG installs to, select a Custom Installation.


Only change your Name in this part


You can install the Security Toolbar for Internet Explorer if you want to


Click Finish to begin the installation


Wait for AVG to install


Click OK

Step 2: Setup

The following windows automatically appears after you install AVG.


Click Next


You can enable a scheduled scan if you want. Click Next


You can report nasty websites to AVG if you want, to enable them to better protect you and other people. Click Next


Click Next


Wait for AVG to update


Click Next


You can register if you want, it will register you to the AVG Support forums where you can find out or ask for help. Click Next


Click Finish

That's it!

LOL, WTF, it's not particulary hard

Ironically you missed the hardest part, actually getting the damn downloader. I always spend much longer looking for the AVG free one than any other download ever.

I agree! But I found that this version of AVG was much easier to find than the previous versions that usually required a search on download.com instead of painfully navigating through the Grisoft site!

Just make sure you always have http://free.grisoft.com/ bookmarked I guess
