Coolermaster Wavemaster (Silver) mini-ReviewHey guys!!
Today, I am going to be reviewing the Coolermaster Wavemaster... well, from an aesthetics perspective, as I actually have no system to put in it at the moment. This is a picture review and will be unfriendly to people who live in
caves non-broadband-enabled areas.
So, it arrived...
This is the packaging for the Wavemaster. It's sexy don'tcha know.

And here she is again in her boxed glory.
The packaging is pretty simple. It is packaged with expanded polystyrene.[centre]

I begin to remove it from the box.
This was actually a pain because the handles on the side of the box were working against me but that is because I am ill and weak today.
Yummy! Can't wait to get my greasy hands on it!
This is what we have left in the box. It is empty as you can or cannot see.
With the expanded polystyrene removed, we can see the groovy design.
But notice that thumbscrew at the bottom right? It fell out when I removed the polystyrene...

The underside. It's nice.
The feet have rubber grips to prevent it from sliding around and to reduce vibration.
Aluminium really is a beautiful material. You may want to set this as your desktop wallpaper.
And here's another shot, this is side-on looking at the front-most part of the case.

That's why I took this picture from a more traditional angle.
Here we see the front bezel and the air intake holes just behind them.
This stops the intake fans from being unsightly.
There are 2 blue LED's behind the bezel that light up when the case gets power... assuming you connected the cables!
The door won't be swinging around in transit because it is taped to the side of the case.

Notice that everything is attached with thumbscrews.
Want to remove the motherboard tray? Thumbscrews..
The side of the case? Thumbscrews..
The power supply? You guessed it!
Thumbs up to Coolermaster for making toolless entry so easy.
There are 7 expansion slots indicating it can accomodate a motherboard with, guess what.. 7 expansion slots!
The rear fan is Coolermaster branded. They are quiet.

You won't need a power supply as recent studys have proved that a simple cardboard box provides ample power for the latest quad-core, quad-graphics systems.
Actually, in this box you will find everthing you need - screws, screws, and other bits.
The top panel again... when you press down on it...
It pings up! Revealing some USB/Firewire ports and audio-in/out ports.
To remove the side of the case, you will need to remove 3 thumbscrews from the side you want to remove.
And let it slide back! This was difficult at first, but the second time was easier.
Aluminium has an annoying habit of binding under heat and vibration, but this is the price you pay for beauty.
Just so you know, the side panels are not like a Lian-Li, which are extraordinarily thick. These side panels are thin. This reduces the weight a little.
I've used this case previously, and I can safely throw away rumours of this side panel being the cause of resonance/vibration sounds.
Inside the case!
The cable you see hanging is from that top panel and connects to the various connectors on your motherboard (if you have one).
There are 2 intake fans, and they will cool your hard drives.
Note that the cable for them is running in the same comparted area as the fan, so make sure to keep the cable away from the fans.
Here we have a view of the bays. There are 4 external 5.25in bays, 2 external 3.5in bays and 4 internal 3.5in bays.

And of course, a new case has an amazing smell about it.
