I get it on all the machines I've installed the software on, all are Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2 and the others are Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit and Ultimate 64-bit. This obviously shotted on an XP machine.

As you can see from the image, the Google Talk context menu is mixed in with the context menu of the taskbar. It's a problem because even when clicking off the menu to try to clear it, it stays on screen until you click something in that menu. Another way to close it is to open up another windowed application like Firefox, minimising it, then restoring it. I right click on the Google Talk icon to check my Gmail messages and also to quickly launch my browser to display my inbox.

Hmm, no, I don't get that problem, it could actually be windows (I've had spazzy context menus before).

It happens all the time, and only to the Google Talk system tray icon, not to any of the others. It's easy to make the problem reoccur, just by right clicking it again a few times.

And have you tried a reinstall?
