So, AMD decided to drop the price of the FX57, but keep the FX55 the same... so now you can purchase an FX55 for the same price as an FX57, and vice versa......... what's the point!? Never mind; looks like all the prices are dropping again, and the X2 3800+ is also dropping a few squids; even better value for money!!!

Prices are always dropping! Though that FX55/57 mix it seems odd. Maybe they're discontinueing the FX55 (the FX53 dissappeared a while ago, AFAIK, and they are dropping lots of processors recently).
I like price drops, means I can afford that 4400+ sooner!

Hmm, that may be so, but I don't think it is. I plan on getting it within three months time, and they aren't releasing new models very fast.

Hmm, possibly, but not the 5400+. I think they will release them in pairs with the different levels of L2 cache.
