Any Core 2 Duos. The more recent the better (45nm is best). Depends on your budget really, though any C2D and a decent mobo will overclock to 3GHz happily.

This or this will do you fine, or this if you're strapped for cash and fancy some overclocking.

Thanks man :) Im fairly strapped for cash alright so the cheaper the better and oh christ over clocking XD best way to accidentaly blow up your pc and spent a lot of time frustrated to the point of kicking the crap out unanamous objects around you room but a sometimes necessary evil :/

No problem.

Overclocking modern CPUs is fairly easy, and if you want to get 3GHz off that one you only need to raise the FSB a bit (from 266 to 315), which should be fairly straightforward without volt changes, I think.
