Yeah im trying to make a link on my site that people click on to download a file, you know the type of thing, like when you download firefox or google chrome or Ventrillo of something. Any ideas how to do this WITHOUT using php? I have cheap hosting

Yeah, you just link to the file and the browser/user decides what to do with it.

Errm i cant find any pages about paying for hosting apart from donation pages about increased costs and stuff like that. I need to know how much it is per month and what stuff i get.

Umm I doubt my dad'll let me get it, we get more space for hosting and 15 mailboxes for £1 less per month than the silver membership. Although this hosting has php and mysql, he doesnt care about the whole getting more features on the formus because he doesnt use it :O, i'd buy it myself if i had a job, which i dont (yet) but when i get a job i'll probs get silver.

Yeah if it was for me then i would get it , i am half planning to set up my own site some time soon so i might come here for hosting. I already have a treeseph.mp domain so i might try and get a thetree.mp or maybe even thetree.co.uk

.co.uk can be had dirt cheap, I got 2 years for a couple of quid.

1and1.co.uk, though their prices change regularly, .co.uk can usually be picked up on the cheap.

I checked it out, its £2.50 atm, might wait a bit see if a good deal comes up, i can only get a .me.uk one that i want, the .co.uk one is being used for nothing... its just a blank page some idiot wasting it.
