They are selling the Dell 3007WFP (30" monitor) for ?1173.83 and the Gainward BLISS Geforce 7900 GTX 512MB for ?317.19. That's a huge saving of ?58.75 and ?70.50, respectively. That 7900 is quite overclockable, too!

I think Komplett love us as well, they're selling the XFX 7900GTX XXX (which I think is 700MHz/1800MHz) for under ?440 whereas Scan UK and Overclockers UK are selling this for ?500 (?499).

Have you noticed how good value the Quad-SLI cards are? a 1GB XFX 7900GTX (not 7950GX2, apparently) costs under ?500. Overall though, not worth it for the marginal improvements in performance - a huge monitor is required for those noticeable improvements, and even then it's not enjoyable to play a game when it runs at under 50fps, even if it is running at 2560x1600 with 9500xAA and 16450xAF.

Edit: Looks like Komplett completely changed their website, and have now dropped the XFX 7900GTX XXX from their product list. Shame, it's probably because absolutely nowhere has them in stock and they're fed up of backorders!

Overclockers are very heavy on the loving this month, they're the first to release AM2 motherboards for pre-order! Apparently they're receiving a lot of these roughly middle of May.

May 23rd is the release date for the new Athlon AM2 socket! Yeehaa! All the processors will be there ranging from the teeny semprons to the beefy FX-62. Inquirer mentioned that the 4000+ will be a 2.0GHz dual core part with 1MB L2 per core, and should go for a decent price.

Of course, the processor that's gone missing from the release schedule is the 5200+ which has been held back until later this year. The 5200+ is going to be a 2.6GHz dual core part with 1MB L2 per core. Holding that back is like releasing the 4600+ and not the 4800+ in today's current Socket 939 product list..

I would really like to get my hands on the 5200+, FX is too much money, it just seems to be overclocking potential to me, but people say how they have slight architectural differences that make them superior to an equivalent clocked processor with the same cache.
